Will have to miss the artisan fair at the co-op tomorrow, with regrets, as it's a good place to be - good people, good food, but I'm having health issues, and tho I'm not contagious, it's probably not a good idea to push it when I'm feeling so punk.

No big shows for a while, so now's when I'm finally catching up on the last 4 months' of bookwork and building inventory back up. Schedule time at Glass Bubble for tomorrow!
Been working on a new mask for the $50 show at the Pop Shop to deliver this week. These things always seem to take longer than I think! http://popshopgallery.blogspot.com/2010/12/jan-8th-2011-50-show.html

1/3 OFF all scarves after Xmas sale. It's also their Freecycle day, so bring what u don't need, take what u do. And while you're there, stock up on bulk foods, fresh produce. http://www.clevelandfoodcoop.org/ Picked up what little inventory was left at the Pop Up Gift Shop yesterday. Only greensmart gifts still has any of my xmas stuff. So now comes the tedious part of putting everything away so it's not all scattered everywhere, and trying to reclaim my living space. And trying to get organized what needs refilled (more earrings, for sure!), what new work should I try (new design for bike chain bracelets and necklaces), what I'll be able to take to market in the Spring when things get going again, what shows should I try to get into, how much tax is owed, how much I'll have left to buy blow time at the glass studio...
I want to thank all of you who came to our various outings this holiday season. It's been a busy year, and we appreciate all your caring and feedback. We'll continue with Local Girl, greensmart and Something Different, and hopefully Pop Shop as well. Check back in January, when we'll have a better idea of where we'll be. And for sure things will start picking up in May. Meanwhile, contact us at jhosacct@hotmail.com if you're looking for something ...
13 new pair of earrings, 2 necklaces and 2 red hot bike part art windchimes for the Last Minute Market this Saturday. Wouldn't want to be going to Market with anything less than ...
After the Marathon double duty of Arts Collinwood and Peace Bazaar last weekend and CSU Ceramics Sale and 27 hours of Trinity Arts this weekend, I finally back to feeling human again and made more scarves and bike part art yesterday. Today: delivering xmas cactus, chocolate mint and geranium propagations to Pop Up Gift Shop on Euclid, along with more bike part art. There's a big concert at Trinity
who have stopped by at the Pop Up Shop, the Peace Bazaar and Arts Collinwood in the last few weeks. It was great seeing you all at Pilgrim Church yesterday (I look forward to staying in touch with all of you by seeing you there!) and i'm sorry I missed the rest of you at the Pop Up Shop and Arts Collinwood. Thank you for supporting the local arts community. A portion of the proceeds from this year's sales will go to another local art venue: the Glass Bubble -- I sold out of all the glassware yesterday!
It's Santa's workshop here in our studio, our living space, everywhere! People are loving the Upcycled Bike Part Art ornaments, windchimes, earrings that I took to the sustainability store Pop Up Shop on Euclid next to 10000 Villages. Need to make more! Plus I'm getting ready to do a delivery to Greensmart Gifts tomorrow. Yeah, I know, I shoulda had them there last week! Just to busy. And my fingers go numb trying to clean the gears and chains outside once it gets below 50oF. The cool thing is, I just read that the Medieval Fayre at Trinity this year is celebrating "Good King Wenceslas" who is sung about in "a popular Christmas carol about a king who goes out to give alms to a poor peasant on the Feast of Stephen (the second day of Christmas, December 26). During the journey, his page is about to give up the struggle against the cold weather, but is enabled to continue by the heat miraculously emanating from the king's footprints in the snow."
I think that's pretty amazing! And since it's a medieval fa |
