it's supposed to end around noon, just in time for Walk + Roll Slavic Village 1-4pm today. And it's supposed to stay in the 80's today! If you take your bike, you can even have a church leader bless your bike at 2pm! Free helmets will be given to anyone who needs one. I'll be in the same area - in Washington park off I-77 and Fleet. Ask at the Information desk. See you there! http://walkroll.com/eventcalendar/details.php?catid=42

Haven't heard from Jerry yet, but it looks like severe thunderstorms are expected for the afternoon and evening. So even tho it's a beautiful sunny morning, I'd rather not risk being blown away in a tornado. I'm cancelling myself out. Don't know if there's a raindate. At this point, I'm aiming for a good day at Walk + Roll tomorrow in Slavic Village.
ok, ok, I really don't need to be out there another day, but this one's a benefit for Jerry's friend who has cancer and can't pay her bills. So I'm doing at Tent Day at Waterloo 7. Since it's a gallery, I'll probably take some of my bigger stuff, maybe a bronze, rather than just the craft show stuff. 35005 Chardon Rd Willoughby Hills, corner of Rte 6 & SOM. 239-293-9548. www.schmidtsculpture.com
about all these shows. Yes, it's important to get the work out there (what good is it sitting in boxes in the garage?), but geez o man, chasing all over the county (and beyond), when do I make new stuff? Lately, I've been innundated with ideas for several new bodies of work. But then I have to prep for an upcoming show. or maintain the house and that huge yard. and somewhere in there is a life. Ah yes, the life of an artist! I think I'd like some ice cream.
