Ok, we're finally back in gear after a SUPER holiday season! ... and a very long season of proposals. Still waiting to hear ... Yes, it's taken this long to catch up, clean up, and finally start thinking about the summer season coming up. We'll begin building inventory probably next week, and hopefully the weather will cooperate (my hands get numb too fast when it's below 50F)

We're glad we're not New York or New Jersey! Lights went out around sunset last night, and tho there  was constant rain and howling winds all night, I only had a few fallen branches to clean up this morning. I saw all kinds of damage on the way into  town this morning, but by  the time I got back home, lights were back on, and I'm thinking, what's a little sogginess?

I like Weebly a lot. It's a lot easier to use than another blog host I tried. But I guess the downside is, I didn't know how to reply to your comment. So it's here. There are probably instructions somewhere ....
But as a website, it's pretty easy to use if you don't mind using their templates, which aren't bad. And it's relatively inexpensive. The blogs are really easy to post. Just click and type. Then publish. Good luck!

Feeling stronger every day

Still not strong enough to load that heavy tent into the Soul, but strong enough to load the boxloads of goods, so I'm scheduling outings at the local farmer's markets. So far this month I'm doing the Coit Rd. Market next Saturday morning, and have queries out for some others. Hopefully I'll be updating again soon. Meanwhile check out the "where to see our work" page!

Survived both surgeries last month, and now the mending is going as well as can be expected. Still not strong enough to load up and haul everything to a fair (esp that heavy tent!), but there are plenty of galleries and boutiques that have been more than happy to show my work and do the selling for me. So even tho I'm sorry to have missed the good vibes at Hessler, there's been plenty of love both in Lakewood and N. Collinwood. Thanks everyone!
ps - I'm now finally strong enough to do some new work, so long as it doesn't involve heavy lifting. So I'm doing some new thngs with vinyl and copper. (The burnt copper paintings have done well at Collective Upcycle in Lakewood.) I'm thinking maybe a labor-intensive burial suit like the one I saw at the China show at Great Lakes Science Center a few years ago. Only updated with 20th century vinyl.... or maybe one of burnt copper flashing - it has a kind of ancestral burnt-offering look to it ... Is this too morbid?

Ok, got 'em! and threw out that bad memory card that was in the camera! The Best of Show winner is under "for the spirit," and a detail of the cast bronze is under "the goddesses" -- "Out of the Primordial Ooze" and "Bellringer", respectively. Enjoy!

It's been a long time recovering from retail season, and it's been one thing after another - things needing to be repaired, the flu, taxes, sleep. You know. Thankfully, it's been an easy winter. Too easy, actually - only got on the Xskis twice this year. Did manage to blow 2 new pieces at J&C Glass, which got taken right away to Local Girl Gallery in Lakewood, so stop by and see a little red & yellow bud vase and a big wonky bowl in green & purple. Meanwhile, Spring is just around the corner - we spring ahead to DST tomorrow, and outdoor work will begin again soon!
